Join me as I guide you through the basics of hand embroidery, focusing on learning the chainstitch. The chainstitch is a timeless decorative embroidery technique, easy to learn and a valuable skill for personalizing your wardrobe or creating unique gifts! This workshop will equip you with the skills to chainstitch words, letters, and custom designs onto your clothing.
Choose to bring your own clothing or, even better, grab some denim or a classic western pearl snap (great for embroidery!) from Tecvoas! I'll have plenty of scrap fabric available for you to practice with before you commit to your own items.
Everyone will also receive a supply kit to take home with all of the embroidery supplies, instructions, and templates you will need to continue your practice at home!
✨WHAT TO EXPECT✨
🪡 Intro to the basics of hand embroidery and the difference between hand versus machine stitching
⛓️ Learn a few different versions of the chainstitch with time to explore each
🎨 Plan out what you want to stitch! You will have the skills to stitch letters, your name, western-inspired designs provided by Mister Baby, or draw up your own designs!
👖 Leave with your personalized item (or practice fabric) hand stitched by you!
⏳ Expect to be at the workshop for about 3 hours (12pm~3pm)
